Meet the Crew: Tamara Peters with Mrs. Peter’s Tuneful Teaching
A majority of my experience is in K-2 since my first teaching job was lower elementary only but since then I have taught K-5 general music with a few middle school classes thrown in.

I have taught K-8 general music classes for 8 years. In that time I have also directed an Orff percussion ensemble and after-school elementary.

I love that TpT gives me the ability to share my ideas with others and vice versa! There is such a great amount of amazing resources out there, written by such talented teachers, and I’m thankful that they are all gathered in one place.

I’ve lived in Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Florida, Iowa and South Carolina. I love going to the beach, especially in the spring or fall.

One of my favorite teaching memories is from a couple of years ago when two shy 6th grade girls stepped into my Music classroom for the first time.

I love lemons! I like them in water, sweet and savory and pretty much like everything lemon flavored, even if it’s sour. Sometimes I’ll stop and buy one on the way home and even end up with it in my purse for a day.

My main squeeze is organization. Sometimes I will reorganize my closets and filing cabinets just to have an excuse to organize.

My favorite teaching memory happened at my front door. Several years ago, I had the great fortune to purchase a home in the neighborhood.

I play the trombone and euphonium, I LOVE chips and queso, I refuse to eat anything that has even been NEAR mayonnaise (ick!)
